Leading a generation of swine since 1977

Not only is today payday, but I just got the word that we're actually GOING TO GET PAID today!! Wooo!! Hookers and crack are on me tonight boys!!

Less than two weeks until ThanksGiving Day, I hope you all have your shopping done. ThanksGiving this year will consist of my pops (Beaumont Abooey) and me sitting about his new apartment (very nice by the way) eating like fucking depraved holocaust survivors whilst watching American Football and shooting the proverbial shit all day.

Now this is just a little problematic as my mom and her husband have moved from $sunnyresortarea back to Ohia, because they're masochists to be closer to my Sister and her little kids, and they're (my mom that is) having ThanksGiving at the new house they just bought, which, and yes this is a rather long, run on, sentance, is about a 4 hour drive from my rented room at the YMCA, while my dad is only a hour drive, and Dad and I have already mapped out our whole ThanksDay adventure down to who is going to get what food and how much food and all that.

So my sister is like all "well mom is expecting you for ThanksGiving cause they moved here so they can be with their family during the Holidays and blah blah blah" and I'm like "well I already told Dad I'm going over there and I'm not going to make him spend the day alone and I don't feel like driving 8 blasted hours since they didn't move TOO FRIGGIN CLOSE TO ME NOW DID THEY and etc etc etc."

But more to the point Dad and I have a master plan which involves ZERO cooking (purchase pre-cooked turkey dinners from deli the day before then simply add heat and eat) and as such very little cleaning which maximizes time spent lounging in front of said footballs games and frankly isn't that what ThanksGiving is really all about?

Right. I've been working on some fun songs which, while I can't quite play up to speed yet, I can play and make them sound quite like they're supposed to. One being Sultans of Swing and the other being Long Distance Run Around. Another couple years and I should have them nailed. Okay then, I've got to go now cause I've got a daytime job and I'm doing alright even though I can't play the honky tonk like anything.

To purchase two of those pre-packaged turkey dinners each so you can have leftovers. Also, Hostess Fruit Pies for dessert.

Oh we're all over that by Bob Abooey (2.00 / 0) #2 Fri Nov 09, 2007 at 02:03:00 PM EST
We're getting two "Diner for Two" deals, which means we'll have food for four, which, should be perfect for pigging out with some leftovers left over.

re: Oh no sir - we'll be having pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert! Yes sir - freshly baked pumpkin pie from the good Bakery!

Warmest regards,

Strange that you mention that by georgeha (2.00 / 0) #3 Fri Nov 09, 2007 at 02:05:14 PM EST
but by the virtue of ebay, one of gifts should be on the way.

What are you getting your mom? She sounds like the Size 3 Navy Blue Mary Jane Doc Marten's sort to me. I bet your dad would love an unpunched version of Acquire.

weiners by alprazolam (2.00 / 0) #5 Fri Nov 09, 2007 at 02:15:19 PM EST
we always eat during the first half of the cowboys (second) game, being detroiters and all. but you can't have all that food being cooked without getting hungry, so my mom always makes us little weiners. one package of "lil' smokies" in a small pan on the stove with half ketchup and half grape jelly, simmered like 20 minutes or so. eat with toothpicks. pretty easy.

We were the cheese and cracker type. We always had a big serving tray with sliced up cheese and crackers and trail bologna sitting about for us to ruin our appetite on.

On another note - I sure hope you didn't subject the little fella to the horrible misfortune that occurred last Saturday against those lamo Illini buffoons..

BS CIS 2000 and MBA 2004. Jen is BS in biochem in 2000 and MD in 2004

Needless to say we're big buckeye fans. Of course, we don't buy outfits for our friends kid unless they went to OSU as well.
